Hot Wheels Treasure Hunt: охота за редкими машинками 2020 в России (их будет в два раза больше!)

Ежегодно коллекция базовых машинок Hot Wheels пополняется супер-редкими машинками серии Treasure Hunt (Охота за сокровищами), стоимость которых может в 15 раз превышать магазинную цену. В серии Hot Wheels die cast обычно спрятано 15 таких машинок, а в 2020 году в честь 25-летия серии будет выпущено целых 30 машинок.

Машинку TH ( Treasure Hunt ) можно найти по внешним признакам: на самой машинке ищите буквы «TH», круглый рисунок с языками пламени, а колеса машинки могут оказаться резиновыми, как у машинок Hot Wheels премиального сегмента. На упаковке позади машинки иногда попадается надпись “Congratulations! We’re celebrating 25 years of treasure hunts and you just found one!” (Поздравляем! Мы празднуем 25 лет Охоты за редкими машинками, и вы только что нашли одну!). Это верные признаки того, что ваша машинка является настоящим сокровищем.

Самое захватывающее в Охоте за редкими машинками – это то, что по упаковке вы не сможете понять, что машинка относится к серии Treasure Hunt. Её можно вычислить, только если внимательно смотреть на дизайн её корпуса. Из-за этого многие мальчики могут и не подозревать, что у них в детской спрятано настоящее сокровище. И, как принято у коллекционеров, самыми ценными являются то, которые еще не распаковали.

Впервые Treasure Hunts появились в 1995 году, когда линейка Die Cast стала делиться на серии. Изначально в линейках было спрятано всего 12 машинок. В 2007 году на свет появилась вторая линейка редких машинок под названием Super Treasure Hunts. От обычной серии, где редкость обозначается только лого на корпусе, их отличает окраска и резиновые колеса.

В отличие от обычных Treasure Hunt, машинки Super Treasure Hunt оцениваются в сотни долларов.

Treasure Hunts

Hot Wheels are die-cast cars that Mattel began producing in 1968. These toy cars have a huge fan base and are collected by both children and adults.

In 1995, Mattel released a new series of Hot Wheels called Treasure Hunts. They were randomly packed into cases with only 10,000 of each vehicle produced. Being extremely popular with collectors, the 1996 set was increased to 25,000 of each vehicle. Subsequent years haven’t revealed the quantity produced, but the cars remain difficult to find. They can be identified by the card packaging which has a green bar and can say “Treasure Hunt” or “T-Hunt”.

Each set consisted of 12 cars until 2005 when the VW Bus was used as a bonus 13th vehicle. Following years remained at 12 until 2011 when the series was increased to 15.

In 2007, Super Treasure Hunts were introduced creating two sets. A Super is an upgraded version of a vehicle with Spectraflame paint, Real Rider wheels, and a much smaller production run. The easiest way to identify a Super is by the card. It replaces the “S” with a dollar symbol and can look like “Trea$ure Hunt$” or “T-Hunt$”.

2012 revealed Super Secret Treasure Hunts and unlike previous years they are not upgrades of the regular versions. Each vehicle in the set is part of a different series like “HW Racing” or “Muscle Mania”. They do not have the green bar on the card and discovering one may prove difficult. There may be a “TH” or “Treasure Hunt” graphic on the car, or nothing but Real Rider tires and Spectraflame paint to identify it.

2013 brought an end to the green bar on the packaging making all Treasure Hunts harder to locate. Every vehicle is part of a different series and to identify one of these hidden gems you have to find the low production symbol , a circle with a flame, on the car.

2020 Super Treasure Hunts

The 2020 super set includes premium vehicles that are hidden within other series. To find one of these Super Treasure Hunts look for a “TH” graphic, Spectraflame paint, and Real Rider wheels. Behind the vehicle, on the card, there may be “Congratulations! We’re celebrating 25 years of treasure hunts and you just found one!”

Boxed Sets

Each year Mattel has released a complete set of Treasure Hunts. They include a certificate of authenticity and have been limited to between 1500 and 5000. From 1995 through 2002 they were available from JC Penney. As of 2003, the sets have been sold to Red Line Club members at hotwheelscollectors.com.
